Victoria and her husband David live on an off-grid farm in the Olympic Mountain foothills near Sequim, WA. In addition to free-ranging chickens, turkeys and ducks, she is a Certified Master Food Preserver, and loves to cook, can, and bake sourdough bread in her handmade wood-fired oven. She travels frequently to speak at events like the Mother Earth News Fair, giving presentations on a variety of topics related to sustainable living and homesteading.

Victoria is the author of Pure Poultry, the award-winning book Craft Distilling, and the upcoming book From No-Knead to Sourdough: A simpler approach to handmade bread, due out in June 2018.
