Dr. Tingley graduated from Colorado State University in 2003, after which she joined the Army Veterinary Corps. After completing three years of active duty, she entered small animal private practice worked as an associate and ran her own relief practice before joining APHIS and the Army Reserves in 2008. Military service brought her to Germany where she served as a veterinary medical officer for the Northern European District Veterinary Command. While there she joined the 457th Civil Affairs Battalion serving as the Public Health and Welfare Officer and eventually taking command of the Headquarters Company. She deployed to Djibouti, Africa in 2014 and returned to achieve a Master’s Degree in Peace Operations Policy. Dr. Tingley has rejoined APHIS Veterinary Services and is currently the veterinary medical officer for surveillance, preparedness, and response in western Washington.
